Purple Change Wellness® + The Institute

An integrated ecosystem for depth-oriented emotional growth

Together, Purple Change Wellness® and Purple Change Wellness® Institute of Trauma Recovery and Well-Being create an integrated ecosystem designed for adults who think deeply, feel intensely, and navigate the world with a blend of intelligence, sensitivity, and overwhelm. Our work centers those who are perceptive, gifted, neurodivergent, or high-achieving individuals who often carry a great deal with insight and intention, yet still feel the strain of emotional fatigue, old patterns, and unmet support.

Purple Change Wellness®

Trauma-informed therapy for adults seeking meaningful, sustainable change

Purple Change Wellness® specializes in EMDR Therapy, trauma-informed care, and nervous-system-based approaches for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, or emotionally charged life events that feel difficult to move through.

Our approach is especially supportive for adults who excel cognitively yet struggle with emotional processing, relational patterns, or social navigation. Treatment is adaptive, strengths-based, and grounded in nervous system regulation, helping clients build self-awareness, deepen connection, and experience sustainable well-being.

Purple Change Wellness® Institute

Expanding access, education, and community impact

The Institute, currently in early development as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, extends our mission by offering practical recovery supports and accessible pathways to emotional and social growth. Our work centers adults who often feel overlooked or misunderstood in traditional care settings.

Care goals of the Institute include:

  • Reducing barriers to care

Addressing the systemic and personal obstacles, financial limitations, limited community resources, and gaps in emotional or social support that prevent adults from accessing the services they deserve.

  • Creating programming for gifted, high-achieving, and neurodivergent adults

Offering recovery focused workshops, public education, and community outreach that foster clarity, connection, and confidence.

  • Hosting annual fundraising events

Strengthening community connection, increasing awareness, and sustaining the Institute’s long-term mission.

  • Establishing a one-time assistance fund

Providing eligible adults with brief, stabilizing support for therapeutic services, wellness needs, or essential resources during moments of transition. This model promotes resilience, restores self-trust, and encourages forward movement without creating long-term dependence.

A Collaborative Partnership with Wayne State University

This work is enriched through a partnership with Wayne State University School of Social Work graduate-level interns, whose education, emerging research, and passion for service strengthen every aspect of our programming. Their involvement supports the development of community-centered, trauma-informed initiatives that truly meet the needs of the adults we serve.

Together, Purple Change Wellness® and the Institute help cultivate the clinicians of tomorrow, professionals grounded in compassion, clinical excellence, and a nuanced understanding of gifted, high-achieving, and neurodivergent adults. Through mentorship, high-quality education, and intentional guidance, we create a learning environment where curiosity thrives and access expands.

Our Shared Mission

Across both entities, our commitment remains the same: to create spaces where adults can experience meaningful change, grounded support, and a deeper sense of emotional clarity and connection.
