About Us

Angelah Cramer, LMSW, CAADC, CCS

As the founder, director, and psychotherapist of Purple Change Wellness®, Angelah continues to build on the mind and body connection in the therapy space. Providing health and wellness support to Michigan residents for the past 20 years, she places great value in working toward recovery from stressful and traumatic incidents. Angelah’s work revolves around the concept that stressful and traumatic incidents lead to problematic behaviors and debilitating symptoms. As an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Certified Therapist, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Certified Therapist, she assists in guiding adults through healing and recovery using these and other evidence based approaches.

Mrs. Cramer is a Michigan licensed clinical and macro master level social worker. She earned her master’s degree from Wayne State University School of Social Work and served as an intern with the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center. For over a decade, Angelah has provided social work services and supports to adults. Her experience also includes partnering with public and private universities providing field instruction and supervision for master level social work and counseling students. She has extensive experience in private practice, community mental health, intensive case management, psychotherapy, supervisory support, training & education, quality analysis, research, and program management.

In addition, Angelah is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) approved and registered through the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals. With lived experience, she knows the destruction that substances cause. She is passionate about guiding adults through healing and recovery. As a Certified Clinical Supervisor, she has committed to the continued ethical and educational requirements to supervise clinicians seeking full certification and licensing.

Lastly, Angelah’s earlier years in the health and medical field include her positions as an EMT, paramedic, and emergency medicine research assistant. The knowledge and experience gained here, along with her ACE Health Coach Certification combined with her behavioral health experience allows for a unique mind and body perspective that you likely will not find in other therapy spaces.
